THE TRIBE LIFE: Prioritize Your Life
I tend to get overwhelmed easily.
I like to take on a lot of responsibility, do things myself, and I forget I only have 24 hours in a day.
For as long as I can remember, I've had this insatiable hunger for more - to see more, do more, accomplish more. It's like I have a ticking time bomb in my head that reminds me over and over again that life is too short to settle, to give up, to stop trying.
But the flip side to that drive and energy is overwhelm.
Often I add more to my to-do list without going over the already existing mile long list to see where it all fits.
My mind will run through my list over and over again on a never-ending wheel of death and I can feel it in my body too - the stress building up, a tightening in my chest, sometimes I actually get dizzy!
Ever had that problem?
In those moments I practice some breathing exercises (future episode on this coming soon!), yoga poses, and brain dump.
In the past few months as I work to start this community, the to-do list is never ending, there's still so much I don't know! So in addition to a whole heck of a lot of self-love and patience, I've been working on the art of prioritizing.
Sometimes it's as simple as brain dumping all the crap in your head down on paper, taking a step back to look at it all, and prioritize.
For this week's episode, I walk you through the simple 3 step process I take every time I'm feeling this sense of overwhelm.
Once you’ve had a chance to watch, try this exercise for yourself!
How did you feel as you were brain dumping all those to-do's down on paper?
How did you feel after?
I've shared my dirty laundry, don't leave me hanging here! Leave a comment down below and let me know!
With so much gratitude,
P.S. If you’ve got a family member or friend who could benefit from these tips - share this post. It may be the fresh perspective they need!
