Ingredients for Guilt-Free Cookies

Wet

3/4 cup unsweetened apple sauce

1/2 stick butter

3/4 cup raw honey

2 tsp pure vanilla extract

1 egg

1 egg white

Dry

1 1/2 cups organic white wheat flour

1 cup organic whole rolled oats (quick oats are fine also)

1/4 tsp ground nutmeg

1/4 tsp ground cinnamon

1 tsp baking soda

1 tsp sea salt

3/4 of a 12 oz package of chocolate chips (milk or dark)

Directions for Guilt-Free Cookies

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all the wet ingredients in a mixing bowl (partially soften the butter first, just be careful not to melt it too much). In a separate bowl, combine the dry ingredients. Slowly add the dry ingredients to the wet, stirring thoroughly to combine. Add in the chocolate chips. Roll the dough into balls and place the balls on a baking sheet and bake for 12-14 minutes, depending on your oven and how well done you like your cookies. Enjoy your guilt-free treat!
